Nylon / Polypropylene Wheels
Nylon / Polypropylene Wheels
Keystone Castors offers a wide range of white nylon / polypropylene wheels for existing castor wheel replacement and for a vast variety of industrial uses. They are a very popular wheel because they are relatively inexpensive compared with other hard tread wheels like Cast Iron. Furthermore, being a hard tread they will be less likely to ...pick up floor debris and swarf that may damage softer treads like rubber. These wheels are available with various bearing options in the wheel's central hub: Roller Bearing, Ball Bearing or Plain Bore
Nylon Wheels
Nylon wheels are white as standard though can be coloured by the addition of a dye during manufacture. They are particularly popular because they are non-marking and non staining as well as being resistant to corrosion.
White Nylon wheels are light in weight, have a high load capacity, are clean and able to be used with a minimum of lubrication. They have a hard tread with little rolling resistance compared to softer tread like rubber. Nylon is practically non marking and causes very little floor damage in most applications. These castor wheels are also resistant to oils, fats, alkali, soaps and detergents. This makes a nylon wheels a very popular choice. The main difference between a nylon wheel and a polypropylene wheel is that the nylon absorbs humidity and are great for use in wet and cold environments,
Nylon caster wheels should not be used in contact with concentrated acids, although some exposure to diluted acids is possible. The operating temperature of Nylon Wheels is between -20 deg. C and +80 deg. C but they are at their best between -5 deg. C and +40 deg. C
Polypropylene Wheels:
Like Nylon castor wheels, Polypropylene wheels are a thermoplastic synthetic material. They offer much of the benefits of Nylon but, being slightly less durable, they are typically less expensive. Read More- Display 15 Products per page
