Twin Wheel Castors have two wheels within the one castor housing. They are sometimes called Dual Wheel Castors.They have several advantages over a single wheel castors such as a higher load capacity and the manoeuvrability of heavy loads. The ease of manoeuvrability is because in twin wheel castors the each wheel can rotat...e in different directions. The effect is that dual wheel castor are easier to move and manoeuvre than single wheel castors.

This ensures that this castor's wheels keep contact with the floor allowing smooth AGV movement and protection of the loaded cargo when changing directions (See illustration below)The wheels are more widely separated from each other than most Twin Wheel Castors.
